Charlie Zahm:
Charlie Zahm is one of the most popular soloists at Celtic music festivals, Maritime and Early American music events anywhere east of the Mississippi. With a baritone voice some have described as "coming along once in a generation," Charlie has become one of the most successful performers on the Celtic festival circuit, weaving magical moments for the listener and viewer, with passion for the performance and a chosen repertoire pleasing to all members of the family. A master of the guitar as well, Charlie brings an authentic love and respect for the music he sings.
Join Charlie tonight for an intimate evening at the Troubadour Folk Club, which holds so many memories for Charlie from performances over the years. Tonight he sings songs from his new DVD/CD release, plus others you’ll enjoy. From his website, Charlie describes his new project this way:
“I am so excited to have worked with Franklin Springs Family Media of Nashville to produce this live concert performance with my band (Tad Marks - fiddle/Steve Hobson – lead guitar/Joe Spinelli – upright bass/Cheryl Prashker – percussion/and Suzanne McNeil-Zahm lending more vocals). I could not be happier with the end result: Franklin Springs put together a beautifully crafted visual production, capturing the music perfectly. Even though the entire production was threatened by a terrible snow and ice storm that very day (February 13, 2007) a hardy audience made it through the elements to join my band, the Franklin Springs crew, and the wonderful folks from the Milburn Stone Theater in North East, Maryland, to put a show together I will be so proud of for a long, long time. I hope you enjoy it too!
